Two's Room

Our two's room is an exciting environment for 2-3 year olds to play and learn. We are committed to encouraging children to work towards achieving development goals with the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS) and developing learning through their individual interests.


Their are numerous activities where children can explore themselves throughout the room such as the transport area, home corner (that changes regularly such as to become a doctors surgery or a circus), a climbing frame with a slide and a cosy room for reading stories. We also have a large outdoor area where children are free to explore and discover new and exciting experiences outdoors. Outside there are bikes and scooters, woodland and grass areas where we have a planting area, a large wooden climbing frame with slides, hay bales and a mini beast area. Within our outside area, there is a wooden cottage which is fully fitted with a kitchen and dressing up clothes and its own fairy garden - bringing indoors outdoors.


We have a free flow system in place which ensures children can choose individually whether they play inside or outside.


If Parents/Carers and children are ready, they can begin their potty training journey in our room, with the help from our practitioners. We have child sized toilets and sinks as well as the option to use potty's. We encourage children's independence and self care with guidance.

Acting Deputy Manager and Two's Room Leader - Carmel

With over 14 years experience in childcare, and 7 years at Greyfell Academy, Carmel is our Acting Deputy Manager and Room Leader.

Qualifications include:

-Level 3 in Childcare

-Currently studying towards Level 5 in Childcare

-Paediatric First aid

-Prevent training

-Channel general awareness (Prevent)

-Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

-Responding sensitively to biting

- The Prevent Duty and British Values

-Online safety

-Promoting Positive behaviour

-Awareness of child abuse and neglect

-Prevent duty and Fundamental British values

-Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)

-Safe sleeping course

 Senior Nursery Nurse - Chloe

With over 5 years experience working at Greyfell Academy, Chloe is our Senior Nursery Practitioner and Equal Opportunities Coordinator.
